Val's Graduation

I am SO proud of my little sister! She graduated from UNT last weekend - as a Math major. Guess we know who got the brains in our family...haha! She also already has a job, teaching math at NCTC, a community college in the North Dallas area. She went in for her first interview the day before graduation, and they offered her the job on the spot! They are lucky to have her! Valerie has grown into such a beautiful, thoughtful, successful young woman, and I am proud to call her my sister. Thank you Val, for letting Jeff and I be a part of your graduation weekend!

My mom lined her cap with a red boa...can you find her in the crowd : )

Congrats Graduate!

Baus - Lowe Wedding

I've been meaning to blog about this beautiful wedding for weeks, and just haven't taken the time to do it!
Tiffany and Brent had a beautiful wedding in Dallas, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Their wedding was centered around love and family, and was so touching! Here are a few pics.

The couple's first of many newsletters, telling their stories and fun facts about each of them. They have an email address set up where you can sign up to receive future issues. So cute!

The escort card trees. Mom took the ones she made for our wedding and changed them to match her vision. Beautiful!

The wedding centralized around family. The theme, "Inspired by Love, Surrounded by Inspiration" was a tribute to their families.

It's Snowing!!!!

It's snowing in Houston!!

As my Edaddy said when I emailed him, "You must be mistaken, it doesn't snow in Houston"!

Well, it is today! It is so beautiful and majestic, we don't get to see it very often. We'll see how wonderful I think it is on my commute this afternoon though...

Hope you enjoy the snow!

Cowboys Game!

Jeff and I were lucky enough to go to the Cowboys game on Thanksgiving! Daddy got us tickets, so we spent the afternoon with him & Val. It was so much fun. We had not been to the new stadium yet, so we were so excited to see it! It is amazing - it was an experience. Both upper ends of the end zone are standing room only, and they have miller light girls dancing on platforms, like in a dance club or something. It was pretty amazing. The club level felt more like a swanky lounge than a football stadium, but it was really nice.

Chris Daughtry performed at half time.

Half time show.

This TV is huge. We had pretty good seats, but I kept catching myself watching the screen! It was great for replays!

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Monday Night Football!

For Jeff's birthday this year, I decided to buy him Texans tickets. When I asked what game he would like to go to, of course he chose Monday Night Football! So...we have been looking at them on our fridge since July! Needless to say, we were more than ready! Neither of us had been to a Monday Night Football game, or tailgated before a Texans game. We had so much fun - even though our hearts broke in those last seconds of the game when Brown missed the field goal.

Tailgating girls
The tailgaters were amazing! There were some incredible set ups out there. Full bars, dance clubs, bands, and some of the biggest smokers and grills I have ever seen. Texan Tailgaters are rockstars!

I can't wait to go to another game!

Third Eye Blind Concert

Self portrait - these never turn out well...

The band playing in a coffee house like setting. Amazing.
I have had a crush on Steve Jenkins for years...he is such a cutie! And yes, he still plays without shoes.

One of Jeff's favorite bands is Third Eye Blind. I loved them in high school, but haven't seem them in concert in 12 years! When Jeff found out they were coming to Houston, I bought tickets immediately. I am so glad we went, it was so great! They sound better live than in the studio in my opinion. And, just as great, if not better, than 12 years ago.

This was our first time at the Verizon Wireless Theatre. What a great venue! I don't think there is a bad seat in the house, and the floor space is great. There were no lines in the bathroom, and bars were conveniently located to each section. We will make a point to go to more events there.

Happy Halloween!

Jeff and I had such a fun Halloween! We were invited to the best party ever - at Rickey's house. We dressed as June & Ward Cleaver. Lenti and Brandy came into town - it was just like college again!
